Women of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
Saint Paul's Ladies' Afternoon Group
Purpose:
As a community of women
Created in
the image of God
Called to
discipleship in Jesus
Christ, and
Empowered by the Holy Spirit,
We commit ourselves to
Grow in faith,
Affirm in our gifts,
Support one another in our callings,
Engage in ministry and action, and
Promote healing and wholeness
In the church, the society, and the world.
MISSION: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
MISSION AREAS: Women of the ELCA carries out its purpose statement in three mission areas
Mission: COMMUNITY
Mission: GROWTH
Mission: ACTION
Mission areas are intentionally interdependent and overlapping.
We the Women of ELCA-St. Paul's Lutheran fell strongly regarding these mission areas. We try to take Action with our quilting, helping the Community in time of need and helping within the church with extra revenue when needed. We feel God gave us all wonderful talents to use. May our love for the Lord Grow as we continue to serve in these capacities.
Saint Paul's Ladies' Evening Group
You could call the 15+ members of the Ladies Evening Group "Spirit Lifters".
From making Valentine's Day cards for the shut-ins, to hosting an annual
Graduation Brunch for our High School graduates, to remembering our loved
ones in military service during the holidays, we have had a very busy couple of
first years. We put a little of ourselves and a lot of God into everything we
do or send. It is our hope that through our cards or care packages, the
recipients know their church family cares about them and
remembers them, just a mere reflection of God's enduring love for them. It is in knowing how
much
God cares that spiritually motivates us to do what we do.
