Welcome to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford, WI!  We hope this site will help you learn more about our church family and our ministry for Christ.  St. Paul's has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community.  We hope you will join us for worship services on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ!     All are Welcome!

News and notes:


  • St. Paul's Singing Saints Choir News - choirnewOur choir will be singing the 4th Sunday of every month.  They will practice on the 2nd Sunday at 9:00 am and the 3rd Thursday at 7:00 pm.  All are welcome to join the choir - no expereince nesseary - you do not have to be able to read music - Just enjoy singing to the glory of God!


  • Wonderful Spring & Sunday School Celebration held Sunday, April 17 IMG 7272 Thanks to all who made our Celebration Sunday a glorious day with: Good Shepherd worship, potluck, fellowship, Sunday School celebration with our teachers, shepherds, choir members, and the congregation all singing "Shout to the Lord" together with our students!  Thanks be to God! 
  • Our last day of Sunday School until this fall was Sunday, April 17.  Sunday School will resume agian on September 18, 2016. 

  • Holy Communion Class - Sunday, April 24 starting at 9:00 am communion2 We celebrate "open communion" which means that everyone is welcome at the Lord's Supper, including children.  Even though children are welcome at the Lord's Supper we encourage them to take a Holy Communion Class at some point.  All ages welcome!  This class is for children and their parents (lunch will be provided).  Click here to register for this class.

  • New Member Class- Sunday, May 15 at 9:00 am newmemberclass Are you intersted in becoming a member of our church family?  Are you just insterested in learning more about St. Paul's?  Then join us for our new member class on Sunday May 1 from 9-10 am (between services).  There is no obligation to join the church.  All are welcome!   


  • VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS) at St. Pavbs sun signupul's this August 7-11!  Our VBS will be held August 7-11, 2016 Sunday 4/7 from after the 9:00 am service until 2:00 pm.  Monday-Thursday from noon-5 pm.  The children will receive lunch and a snack every day.  Also, each child will receive their very own VBS t-shirt!  Only $10 per child with a maximum of $20 per family.  All 4K-6th graders are welcome - you don't have to be a member so invite your family & friends!  Please register your child ASAP so we can plan ahead and order enough t-shirts.  Click here to register your child for VBS!

  • ADULT FAITH FORMATION AT ST. PAUL'S!  Sundays from 9:20-9:50 am in the Welcome HallWe all need lifelong learning. Faith formation is not complete with Confirmation. Theadult faith2 Christian journey is a journey, and God is up to something every day of our life!  We’re going to meet every Sunday from 9:20 to 9:50 am, in the Welcome Hall, to process what we heard in worship and the sermon, and preview the following week’s gospel.  All are welcome!


  • FOOD PANTRY NEEDS! Thanks to all FoodPantryCart Nov2013who have donated food items for our food pantry.  With your help, we've been able to help many local families this year through our food pantry! We are always in need of food donations, especially: - cereals, canned fruits, soups, pasta boxes/meals, ramen noodles, crackers, and juice.  Please place donations of food items in the grocery cart in the Welcome Hall. Thank you! GOD'S WORK. OUR HANDS.



    Thank you to all who helped with the 2015 Taylor County Christmas Giving Tree!  This is an important program (coordinated by St. Paul's) in which less fortunate children receive Christmas gifts through the generosity of over 40 local businesses and organizations.  The program has been operating in Taylor County for 16 years and for the last eight years St. Paul's has run the program.

    This year a record 546 children received gifts for Christmas!  These gifts are not just toys and games but often are for basic needs such as: socks, hats, gloves, jackets, pants, boots, shoes, shirts, blankets, etc.  Click here to learn more about the Giving Tree
